    Hamilton de Holanda is a Latin Grammy–winning Brazilian bandolim player whose work brings the language of choro into conversation with contemporary jazz. In New York City he has appeared at Jazz at Lincoln Center, joining the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under Wynton Marsalis, including on programs that engage the music of composer Moacir Santos. His collaborations span Sounds of Brazil projects and orchestral settings as well as jam-oriented appearances. His performances favor rhythmic precision and clear melodic lines over spectacle.
