About Habibi

Habibi is a Brooklyn-based rock project rooted in New York City’s club circuit, including nights at Baby’s All Right. Led by vocalist Rahill Jamalifard, the group draws on psychedelic guitar textures and tight, mid-century pop harmonies. The name comes from an Arabic term of endearment Jamalifard heard growing up, alongside Persian at home, and it surfaces as a small marker of diaspora in the band’s identity. Onstage, their performances favor precision and blend over spectacle.
