Guhts: Dancer in New York

About Guhts

Guhts is a dance artist whose work has appeared in New York City settings, including Berlin, in programs that place choreography in direct conversation with live sound. In the shared bill “Guhts | Blak Emoji | Laryssa Birdseye,” Guhts performed alongside Blak Emoji and Laryssa Birdseye, leaning into the friction and timing that live musical input can produce. The surrounding sonic world nods to heavy, droning metal traditions, which shapes the atmosphere without dictating the movement. Guhts’ performances favor structure and attention over spectacle.
