Gabby’s World is the Brooklyn-based project of singer-songwriter and producer Gabrielle Smith, who began releasing experimental ambient recordings in the late 2000s before steering the work toward indie pop. The project has since expanded into a four-piece band, with collaborators drawn from other New York-area indie circles. On bills like their Union Pool appearance with Frankie Cosmos, the group sits comfortably in the city’s small-room lineage of guitar pop.
