Futurebirds is an Athens, Georgia–based rock/pop group formed in 2008, working in the overlap between alt-country songwriting and jam-band elasticity. Early releases introduced a road-minded sound shaped as much by touring as by the studio. Their shows tend to build songs through ensemble interplay, with grooves that stretch and reset rather than chase spectacle. On the Far Out Country Tour, they bring that live-first approach to New York City’s Irving Plaza.
