About Foodman

Foodman is the working name of Takahide Higuchi, a Yokohama-based Japanese producer, DJ, and painter active since the early 2010s. Emerging from Japan’s footwork and juke circles, he treats that rhythmic language as a base while cutting it with ambient drift, club forms, and abrasive texture. His sets tend to move by rapid edits and abrupt shifts, favoring density over clean genre boundaries. In New York City he has brought this approach to H0L0, including a bill with Nikki Nair.
