Ethan Iverson is a pianist, composer, and music critic whose work moves between modern jazz language and open improvisation. He came to wider attention as a founding member of the forward-leaning trio The Bad Plus, where structure and disruption often shared the same bar line. In New York City he appears at Bar Bayeux, leading a late-night house-band set with bassist Matt Penman and drummer Diego Voglino.
