Ellen Allien is a Berlin-based electronic musician and producer, and the founder of the BPitch Control label. Her work grows out of the post-reunification club landscape, moving between techno’s drive and IDM’s tighter, more experimental structures, with vocals that shift between German and English. In New York City she has brought that approach to rooms like Public Records, including all-night sets that emphasize pacing and long-form control. Her performances favor clarity over spectacle, letting small changes in texture do the work.
