Duduka Da Fonseca Trio: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Duduka Da Fonseca Trio

Duduka Da Fonseca Trio is a jazz group rooted in Brazilian and Latin jazz traditions, heard in New York City rooms including Ornithology Jazz Club. The trio’s work draws on the leader’s long-running role as a drummer and collaborator, with shared bills and projects alongside players such as Todd Herbert, Jeremy Manasia, Jason Clotter, Larry Banks, Anthony Pearlman, Brent Lerman, Jules Gardener, and Charlie Lincoln. Their sets lean on rhythmic detail and ensemble interplay. The music favors clarity over spectacle, keeping the groove present while leaving space for conversation.
