DOLLY: A True Original Musical: Theater Company in New York

About DOLLY: A True Original Musical

DOLLY: A True Original Musical is a stage production built from Dolly Parton’s life and catalog, developed with Parton as a co-writer of the book and a producing collaborator. After premiering in Nashville in 2025, the show is set to arrive in New York City with a Broadway engagement at the St. James Theatre in December 2026. The score draws on Parton’s songwriting voice while shaping it for a narrative stage format. The approach leans on plainspoken storytelling and musical clarity over spectacle.
