About Deee-Lite
Deee-Lite emerged from New York City’s club ecosystem as a house-and-dance group whose 1990 breakthrough single “Groove Is in the Heart” crossed into global pop rotation. The project’s legacy now extends into DJ culture, with member DJ Dmitri carrying that lineage into contemporary sets. In New York, their orbit includes nights at Xanadu alongside The Phenomenal Handclap Band, framed around long-form, dance-floor momentum.
