About Deadguy

Deadguy is a New Brunswick, New Jersey metalcore group whose 1994–97 run helped set the rhythmic, stop-start language that later came to be labeled mathcore. The band returned in 2021 and followed with the 2025 album *Near-Death Travel Services*, a reminder of how tightly they balance structure and abrasion. In the New York City area they surface on bills that bridge punk and hardcore, including shows at Starland Ballroom alongside Face to Face and The Movielife. Their music favors precision over polish.
