David Gibson Nonet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About David Gibson Nonet

The David Gibson Nonet is a New York–based jazz ensemble led by bassist and composer David Gibson. The group works in the nonet format, using arranged writing and solo space to balance detail with improvisation. At Dizzy’s Club, their sets draw on the room’s tradition of big-band craft scaled down to a tighter ensemble. The performances favor structure and clear ensemble blend over spectacle, with Gibson’s writing shaping the pacing and tone.
