About Daniel Bell

Daniel Bell is an American DJ and producer associated with minimal techno, shaped by time in Canada and later Detroit, where he worked with Richie Hawtin as part of the Cybersonik project on the Plus 8 label. In the early ’90s he launched his own imprint, Accelerate, releasing influential material under the DBX name. In New York City, he appears at Green Room NYC for extended sets such as “All Night Long,” sharing bills with live electronic artists including Kiyoshi and Monile. His performances favor restraint and patient development over spectacle.
