Cypress Hill: Hip-Hop Artist in New York

About Cypress Hill

Cypress Hill is a hip-hop group associated with early-1990s West Coast rap, built around DJ Muggs’ dense, sample-driven production and a fusion of old-school rhythms with rap-rock edge. Their catalog moves between groove and vocal grit, with an emphasis on atmosphere over polish. In New York City, they bring that approach to Irving Plaza with the themed set “Haunted Hill,” sharing the bill with artists such as Lord Sko and Mellow Man Ace. Their live shows tend to favor pacing and texture more than spectacle.
