Crying Laughing: Rock Band in New York

About Crying Laughing

Crying Laughing is a rock/pop group heard on New York City bills at Pianos, often paired with adjacent scenes that drift into ambient-jazz and folk-leaning textures. The name points to the phrasing of a 1972 Labi Siffre album title, a small clue to the group’s interest in tone and language as much as hooks. They have shared stages with Iceblink and Jeff Tobias, positioning their set within a collaborative, band-forward format. Their performances favor structure and pacing over spectacle.
