    About Crates of the Ancestors

Crates of the Ancestors is a DJ group heard in New York City settings such as Public Records, where their sets sit comfortably alongside live performance bills. They have shared lineups with artists including Lonnie Liston Smith, Lovie, Michael Millions, and Landon Schroder, including the program The Universe of Lonnie Liston Smith with Lovie, Michael Millions & Landon Schroder [COSMIC ECHO]. Their approach treats the DJ booth as a curatorial role, stitching jazz lineage and contemporary electronics into a coherent arc. The pacing favors continuity over spectacle.
