BOBOLINKS 4: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About BOBOLINKS 4

BOBOLINKS 4 is a New York City–based quartet led by saxophonist and composer Michael Attias, working at the seam between jazz language and free improvisation. At Bar Bayeux, the group pairs Attias with pianist Santiago Leibson, bassist Sean Conly, and percussionist Satoshi Takeishi. Conly’s grounded pulse and Takeishi’s color-minded precision let the music shift between close time and open form without losing its center. Their performances favor structure that stays flexible, with roles that change in real time.
