About Black Dice

Black Dice is a Brooklyn-based experimental group led by brothers Bjorn and Eric Copeland with drummer Aaron Warren. Active since the late 1990s, they moved from hardcore-rooted noise toward electronics, signal processing, and collage-like sampling, releasing early landmarks such as *Beaches & Canyons* and working with labels including DFA and Paw Tracks. In New York City they appear in bills that blur club and art-music contexts, including sets at Knockdown Center alongside artists like Flying Lotus and Olof Dreijer. Their performances favor texture and disruption over clean genre boundaries.
