About AZA

AZA is the performance name of Aza Raskin, an interface designer and inventor whose work also includes co-founding the Center for Humane Technology and the Earth Species Project. Under this alias he makes electronic music that draws on breakcore’s rapid edits and dense rhythmic grids. In New York City he has appeared at Public Records on late-night lineups with Inox Traxx, Xiorro, Unsighted, and Yuji Kawasaki. His sets tend to favor structure and compression over spectacle, treating the room like a system to be tuned.
