Arewa: Dancer in New York

About Arewa

Arewa is a dance artist whose work moves between club-oriented rhythm and a spare, song-adjacent sense of structure. They have appeared at Berlin in New York City on bills with Tyler Goldchain and Malik English, and have also performed alongside Rocc Sturdy. Online, their listening profile aligns with afro soul, though their live sets lean physical and direct. Their performances favor clarity over spectacle, keeping focus on timing, phrasing, and the room’s energy.
