AKAI SOLO: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About AKAI SOLO

AKAI SOLO is an emerging recording artist whose work sits between alternative and experimental hip hop, often filed under Rock/Pop on mixed bills. In New York City, he has performed at the Knitting Factory, appearing on lineups alongside bobbyy and DJ Stacy (Pink Siifu). His catalog favors oblique writing and a pared-back vocal presence, with rhythm and texture doing much of the storytelling. The approach leans toward atmosphere over hook-driven polish.
