    About Skip Vangelas of DSO

Skip Vangelas is a rock/pop musician associated with Dark Star Orchestra (DSO), appearing in related configurations that move between tribute tradition and open-ended jam craft. In New York City, he has performed at City Winery NYC, including the bill Jeff Mattson & Friends featuring Rob Eaton and Vangelas. His work sits in the working musicianship of the scene: tight ensemble awareness, room for improvisation, and attention to groove. The playing favors precision over spectacle.
