Jerome Ellis: Performing Artist in New York

About Jerome Ellis

Jerome Ellis, who sometimes performs as JJJJJerome Ellis, is an electronic artist whose work moves between composition, text, and durational performance. In New York City he has appeared at Public Records, including *DURATIONS: JJJJJerome Ellis, Fred Moten & Brandon Lopez*, a set framed by improvisation and close listening. He has performed alongside cultural theorist and poet Fred Moten and bassist Brandon Lopez. Ellis’s performances tend to favor process over spectacle, letting structure emerge in real time.
