About Shimza | Jungle Galactica Halloween
Shimza is a South African DJ and producer who emerged from Tembisa, working in the Afro-house continuum with an emphasis on gradual, long-form development. In New York City he appears at Somewhere Nowhere NYC, including the “Jungle Galactica” Halloween edition co-headlined with local DJ Nathan Leong. His sets often move by incremental shifts rather than abrupt turns, using rhythmic detail to keep the floor in motion. The approach favors control and continuity over spectacle.
