Ciarán Finlayson: Classical Musician in New York

About Ciarán Finlayson

Ciarán Finlayson is a classical musician and interlocutor active in New York City’s contemporary performance circuit, including appearances at Roulette. He has collaborated with projects such as DURATIONS and has shared the stage with artist-composer Terre Thaemlitz, framing live performance within public conversation. In events like “DURATIONS: An Evening with Terre Thaemlitz [Live Piano] + Conversation with Ciarán Finlayson,” his role sits between curator, interviewer, and fellow musician. His work favors context and close listening over spectacle.
