Helga Davis: Performing Artist in New York

About Helga Davis

Helga Davis is a New York–based multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between acting, voice, and performance art. In New York City she has appeared at BAM, including an onstage conversation with vocalist Somi and writer Claudia Rankine. Davis is known for building performances around language and breath as much as melody, treating the voice as both instrument and character. Her stage presence tends to favor precision and directness over spectacle.
