The 41st Annual Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Performing Group in New York

About The 41st Annual Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The 41st Annual Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a spoken-word focused program presented at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), framed as a public act of remembrance and civic discussion. The event centers on Jr., a speaker whose work uses storytelling and measured reflection to address social justice and cultural legacy. In the Brooklyn setting, the tribute blends address and community gathering more than concert format. Its approach favors clarity over spectacle, keeping attention on language, context, and Dr. King’s continuing influence.
