The Procession: Dance Company in New York

About The Procession

The Procession is a dance group whose work takes cues from the ceremonial act of moving together in public space. Presented at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) in Brooklyn, their performance titled *The Procession* treats walking, spacing, and collective rhythm as choreographic material. The group’s approach borrows from civic ritual as much as from concert dance, using order and repetition to show how communities assemble and signal purpose. Their performances favor structure over spectacle.
