The Wombats: Rock Band in New York

About The Wombats

The Wombats are a Liverpool-formed indie rock trio, active since the early 2000s, led by songwriter Matthew Murphy alongside Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis. Their work sits between rock and pop structures, built for tight, rhythmic band interplay rather than studio gloss. In New York City they bring that approach to the Brooklyn Paramount for “A Guide to Love Loss And Desperation” 20th Anniversary, a program that revisits an early chapter of their catalog. Their performances tend to favor momentum and plainspoken choruses over spectacle.
