Brandon Lee Quintet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Brandon Lee Quintet

The Brandon Lee Quintet is a jazz group heard in New York City rooms where straight-ahead playing is measured closely, including sets at Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village. Led by Brandon Lee, the band works from the small-ensemble tradition of tightly arranged themes and open improvisation. Their performances emphasize ensemble balance and clear rhythmic direction over display. On bills simply titled “Brandon Lee Quintet,” the focus stays on interaction, pacing, and the way a tune is built in real time.
