David Rourke Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About David Rourke Quartet

The David Rourke Quartet is a New York City–based jazz group heard in club settings, including sets at Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village. Led by saxophonist David Rourke, the quartet works within a straight-ahead tradition while leaving room for open, conversational interplay. Their performances tend to favor clarity and ensemble balance over showmanship. On bills listed simply as “David Rourke Quartet,” the focus is on repertoire, tempo changes, and the give-and-take of the rhythm section.
