Nicholas Biello Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Nicholas Biello Quartet

The Nicholas Biello Quartet is a New York City–based jazz group heard at Smalls Jazz Club. Led by saxophonist Nicholas Biello, the quartet sits within a downtown network that includes the Nick Biello Quintet and Sextet, as well as the Alex Tremblay Sextet. Their sets lean on modern jazz vocabulary and a rehearsal-minded approach to arrangement, keeping the ensemble in clear focus. The playing tends to favor line, balance, and pacing over extended solo display.
