Skylar Tang Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Skylar Tang Quartet

Skylar Tang Quartet is a New York City–based jazz group heard in small-room settings such as Smalls Jazz Club. The band’s work sits in the straight-ahead tradition, with arrangements that keep the horns and rhythm section in tight conversation rather than leaving players to long, isolated features. Tang’s writing shows an ear for ensemble balance and pacing, built around clear melodic statements. Their profile remains emerging on streaming platforms, with a modest but growing listenership.
