Ivan Polyanskiy: Jazz Musician in New York

About Ivan Polyanskiy

Ivan Polyanskiy is a jazz musician heard on New York City bandstands, including sets at Smalls Jazz Club. He leads the Ivan Polyanskiy Quartet and has worked in small-group formats alongside pianist and bandleader Anthony Wonsey, including the Anthony Wonsey Quartet and Quintet. His performances are built around tight ensemble listening and flexible time, with room for both original material and re-shaped standards. The emphasis is on conversation within the group rather than display.
