Jorge Celedón: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Jorge Celedón

Jorge Celedón is a Colombian singer associated with vallenato, with a catalog that also crosses into rock and pop framing in live presentation. He first worked as a backup vocalist with Binomio de Oro de América before launching his own project in 1998 alongside accordionist Jimmy Zambrano. At NJPAC in the New York area, he has appeared under the title “La Historia Mía,” a set that traces his path from ensemble work to bandleader. His performances favor direct storytelling and a steady rhythmic pulse over spectacle.
