Jorge Celedon: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Jorge Celedon

Jorge Celedón is a Colombian singer whose work sits in the vallenato tradition, often presented under broader Rock/Pop listings on concert calendars. He first gained visibility as a backing vocalist with Binomio de Oro de América before forming his own project in 1998 with accordionist Jimmy Zambrano. The show title “La Historia Mía” frames that career arc in performance, moving between early repertoire and later hits. In New York City’s orbit, he appears at NJPAC, where his sets tend to favor direct storytelling over spectacle.
