About Cholla
Cholla is an electronic group heard in New York City rooms built for close listening, including Public Records. Their work sits near the borders of ambient and minimalist club music, shaped by long durations and gradual shifts rather than overt hooks. In the DURATIONS series, they have shared the bill with composer William Basinski, placing their set in a lineage of drone and process-based performance. Onstage, Cholla favors restraint and continuity over spectacle.
