Washington National Opera: Dancer in New York

About Washington National Opera

Washington National Opera is a U.S. opera company whose stage work often intersects with movement and contemporary collaboration. In New York City, it appears at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum through Works & Process, including a presentation of *O’Keeffe: Kiss the Sky* by composer Christopher Tin and librettist Kelley Rourke. Its recent circle of collaborators includes The Metropolitan Opera, Minnesota Opera, composer-vocalist Kamala Sankaram, dancer Minita Gandhi, and Miami City Ballet. The company’s approach favors clear storytelling and ensemble precision over spectacle.
