About The Dead Weights
The Dead Weights are a New York City–based electronic group heard in small-room contexts like Brooklyn Music Kitchen, where their work is built for close listening rather than spectacle. Their appearances have included bills with Big City, including the live event listing “Big City + MORE!” at the same venue. The project centers on programmed rhythm, layered synth textures, and a measured sense of pacing. Their performances favor structure and restraint, letting repetition and incremental change do the work.
