vocalists Shabnam Abedi and Imani Rouselle: Jazz Musician in New York

About vocalists Shabnam Abedi and Imani Rouselle

Vocalists Shabnam Abedi and Imani Rouselle are jazz singers heard on New York City stages, including Dizzy’s Club. They appear together in Joe Block’s Holiday Extravaganza, sharing the bandstand with Block in a set built around seasonal material and small-ensemble jazz pacing. Their work emphasizes the voice as an instrument, with attention to phrasing, time, and lyric sense. In performance, the contrast between their approaches tends to read as an intentional pairing rather than a duet act.
