PETALS: Performing Group in New York

About PETALS

PETALS is a New York City–based electronic and DJ project associated with The Chocolate Factory’s live performance circuit. Recent bills have paired PETALS with Detox Unit, Resonant Language, Schmoop, and SORTOF VAGUE in a format that treats club pressure and concert listening as adjacent worlds. The project’s recorded footprint points toward glitch-informed sound design, with a small but active audience online. In performance, PETALS tends to favor structure and detail over spectacle.
