Rafael Osés: Classical Musician in New York

About Rafael Osés

Rafael Osés is a New York–based musician whose work moves through classical practice and the city’s experimental performance circuit. At Roulette, he has appeared in projects such as *X AMENDMENTS* alongside Carla Kihlstedt and Dither, and in contexts that connect film and live score, including programs linked to Bill Morrison and Buster Keaton. His collaborations span artists like Bill Frisell, Luke Bergman, and Tim Angulo. Osés’s performances favor structure and attentiveness over display, even when the material leans toward free improvisation and spoken text.
