About Ojiik Quartet
Ojiik Quartet is a jazz group heard on New York City stages, including sets at Ornithology Jazz Club. Their recorded output sits at the edges of jazz, drawing on minimalism and contemporary classical and avant-garde strategies without leaving improvisation behind. The quartet’s circle includes work alongside Todd Herbert, Jeremy Manasia, Jason Clotter, Larry Banks, Anthony Pearlman, Brent Lerman, Jules Gardener, and Charlie Lincoln. The music favors structure and restraint, with room for risk inside clearly drawn forms.
