amr*: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About amr*

amr* is the performance name of Amrutha Suresh, an Indian singer, songwriter, and composer whose public profile began with a televised singing competition in the late 2000s. Her work spans recorded songs and film-related projects, alongside on-air experience as a radio host. She also formed her own band project, extending her writing into a group setting. In New York City, she brings that background to the club stage at the Knitting Factory, sharing bills such as the EIGHTYSIX and amr* show; her performances favor direct delivery over spectacle.
