Hannah Altman: Performing Artist in New York

About Hannah Altman

Hannah Altman is a photographer from New Jersey whose work moves between personal archive and constructed scene. In projects shown at New York City venues including the Jewish Museum Exhibitions, she draws on Jewish ritual and inherited stories to examine how memory is carried and revised. Her images often rely on available light and attentive staging, keeping the atmosphere grounded rather than theatrical. The photographs favor clarity over spectacle, treating family history as a living, changeable record.
