Barakatt: Performing Artist in New York

About Barakatt

Barakatt is an emerging artist heard in New York City performance circles at the Milton G. Bassin Performing Arts Center. Their work has moved between choral, orchestral, and Afro‑Latin contexts, with appearances alongside the Queens College Choral Society, the Queens Symphony Orchestra, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and collaborators including Miguel Anggelo and Santiago Cruz. In the Bassin’s Holiday Harmony Vol. visiting‑presenter program, Barakatt sits within a lineup that threads brass‑band tradition, jazz, and concert‑hall ensembles. The approach favors ensemble precision over spotlight display.
