Iftah Kary: Jazz Musician in New York

About Iftah Kary

Iftah Kary is a New York City jazz artist heard at Ornithology Jazz Club, where his work sits comfortably alongside drummer-led and saxophone-fronted ensembles on the local calendar. He has performed with Todd Herbert, Jeremy Manasia, Jason Clotter, Larry Banks, Anthony Pearlman, Brent Lerman, Jules Gardener, and Charlie Lincoln, moving between small-group settings and bandstand collaborations. His playing favors structure and close listening over display, with attention to time and ensemble balance. In club contexts, he reads the room and adjusts, letting the set’s shape emerge in real time.
