Montgomery: Jazz Musician in New York

About Montgomery

Montgomery is a jazz artist heard regularly in New York City rooms including Ornithology Jazz Club. Their work has developed through bandstand collaborations with musicians such as Todd Herbert, Jeremy Manasia, Jason Clotter, Larry Banks, Anthony Pearlman, Brent Lerman, Jules Gardener, and Charlie Lincoln. In performance, Montgomery tends to build sets from ensemble conversation rather than solo display, letting rhythm and harmony steer the direction. Their approach favors clarity over spectacle, with close attention to timing and touch.
