Karl: Performing Artist in New York

About Karl

Karl is a German composer and electronic musician whose work is closely associated with the era of early machine-driven pop and his long-standing contributions to Kraftwerk’s sound. In New York City, he appears in DJ and live electronic contexts, including at Cargo at Dead Letter No. 9, where he has shared bills with CAMILLA and Sam Clark. His sets tend to foreground structure and timbre over showmanship, moving in carefully paced sequences. The approach suits multi-artist nights like “Groove Therapy,” where contrasting voices meet on a single program.
